How does this experience relate to what you have learnt and how does it compare to the other clip with regard to these teachings?

This experience fits in with initial ideas given by moody about near death experiences. At death she felt as if she were above looking down and that there were transpearent ceilings and walls. She also made it apparent that she felt no pain and that she felt content. However the diveristy of near death of experiences can be seen as this experience does not follow the rest of moody's explanation of a near death experience. Unlike Hamish miller she did not have a panaramic view of her life in which she judged herself objectivity.
Her experience is more consistant with the views of kenneth ring with the 5 stages of peace, body seperation, entering darkness, seeing light and entering light. IN the latter stages the light is teh compasionate feelings she felt for the nurses etc. The ideas of body seperation are consistant with those of dualism which states that teh body and mind and dinstict fom each other. This can clearly be seen with the patient seeing her body from above which she mentions at the begining of the extract.
This video ties in well with the ideas that are stated by Moody and near death experiences. As the women entered the hospital she was seen to be dead. Moody states within his earlier points that the person will be floating above the body like the women expereinced. She was able to look upon the hospital and her self and felt peace. Moody also states that a panaramic view of the full life is seen although these are more consistant with the Hamish Miller's experience.
As Snoop stated the womens events are able to fit the views of Dr Keneth Ring well. He stated that there are 5 stages to a near death experience these being peace, body seperation, entering darkness, seeing light and entering light. Although there is no description of light being present it is clear that the earlier stages are present.
We learnt about the teachings of Ring. In this video the lady is clearly having many experiences which Ring told us about. For example she said she was compassionate towards the nurses, and this is what Ring was talking about with the entering of the light. She also said she saw her body from above, and this is like what Ring said about dualism, which means that the body and mind are totally seperate.
We have also learnt about the teachings of moody, and the experience of the lady is similar in that she felt no pain and was happy. However, unlike Miller, she did not get to see her life and judge it, so not all of the characteristics of a near death experience which Moody identified were addressed.
