I disagree with this statement- even though I am not religous. I think that their is something their after you dei, either in reincarnation or immortality of the soul. I think that their is something there when you die and I hope this is a good thing. I also disagree with this statement as people have had near-death expreiences. so in conclusion I disagree with this statement as i think that their is something when you die.

No I do not agree with this statement because I have been brought up to believe that you are resurrected when you die. I also believe that the soul is immortal and so I do not agree that 'when your dead your dead'. But nobody knows for sure, so everyone can have their own opinions without a right or wrong answer!

No, I don't agree with this statement, as I believe that when we die, our body decays, but our soul lives on. Basically, in our next life our soul takes form in another being, what we are reincarnated as depends on what we were like in our previous lifetime.

I dont agree! I think that once you are dead something has got to happen. It is a long time to do nothing just laying in the ground dead, so thats why your soul must go somewhere and do something.

I really am not sure what to believe. I like to think I am a Christian, that we go to Heaven after we die but recently I have been having doubts. Nobody has ever come back so how could we possibly konw? We will forever speculate yet never be enlightened.

I think that 'death is but yet another adventure'. The thing with dying as that we don't know what happens or when it will be happen but there is only one thing in life that we are certain off-death. I do not think that we would have been given life to have only lived for average of 70 years, there must be something after death.
On the other hand people would not agree with this as there is no proof to show that there is life after death.

I believe that when you're dead your soul doesn't live on or that your body can come back. I do believe that everyone hopes for something more after death though. I think that e.g Christians love their God and know that if they live a good life they will go to heaven. I don't believe in a God therefor this affects my answer.

I think that when you are dead that you are actually dead because i have no proof to say otherwise. I havent seen anyone tell the world that they've died and come back and say that something else happens. So until i have some real proof i believe i will be dead when i die and i will jsut have to see if i am wrong then.

I agree with this satement as im not religous therefore i dont beleive that when you die you are able to get reincarnated or go to heaven or hell ( depending on wether you have lead a good life or not. For me i believe that once you die,you can either get burried or cremated,from here (i know its horrible to think this) your body will just decompose and will be eaten ny whatever is in the ground.

I do not agree with the statement as i belive and so do my family that when you die, then you remain in your body but you sould goes else where, i belive that your soul goes to heaven where you look down on the rest of your family, i belive that my grandma is up there looking down on me and the rest of the family, looking after me when i need it

As I am still unsure as to whether I believe in God or not, I am a bit unsure about this quote. However, at the moment I feel that once you die, nothing else happens to your body. I believe that something happens to your sould after you die, although I am not sure what yet. I don't belive in re-incarnation but I think something like heaven and hell happens to your soul. I don't think when you die it is totally the end, but something else happens to your soul.

No, I don't agree with that statement because I believe that after death, we are re-incarnated and given another chance. That God is giving us infinate chances because he has faith in us even when we don't have it in ourselves.

I think that when death occurs, it is just eternal darkness. Just exactly the same as before you were born, you cant remember a single thing. I do not believe in God or in an afterlife. I am an agnostic. I think nobody should be able to choose when somebody is to die or be born, not even God. I think everything happens for a reason so if somebody dies it is down to fate and maybe even pure coincidence no matter how upsetting this may seem.

I disagree with this statement because of my religous beliefs. I beleive if you have led a predominately good life you go to heaven and if not you got to hell.

I agree with the statement because in science there is only proof that when you die, naturally your body decomposes. There is no poof that would support life after death or immortality of the soul. This is why religion in itself is a matter of faith. However, I do think that everything has a soul, but it’s not like another body inside you that gets up after you have died and walks around or anything like that. I think that the soul of people live on, not by themselves as another entity, but they live on through memories of the people who new them and loved them and were friends with them.
As well as living on through memories, if the person that has died has had children then they will also live on through genes in the children and their children and their children, just as the ancestors of the person who has died lived on through them in their genes.
Therefore I agree with the statement that 'when your dead, your dead’ but although your gone your not forgotten.

We have no way of knowing but it begs the question as to whether the place that we go to counts as living. If we have nbeen sinful many believe that we will go to hell which may be considered life by some but death by others. Also the idea of heavan as being one with God in many religions could mean anything. There is the possibilty that we will be safe and content in heavan but not aware. Therefore the idea of being dead greatly relates to what people pecieve as being alive. This links in with the sanctity of life.

I do not agree with this statement, because i do believe that there is a life after death, because in Islam Muslims believe the life that you live now is a test for God to see how you live your life and how well you handle things. Also I believe that we will be resurrected and God will decide whether we will go to Heaven or Hell. This is just the beginning of life.

i do agree with this statement as no-one knows if there is anything before or after death. I also i do not beleive in reincarnation ir that there is a paradise after i life, i believe that life is the paradise.

I agree with this statement because of my atheist views on life. I believe that this is the one life we have and thus I set my values so that I make the most of life.
However most religions would disagree with me as they believe in some passage of the consciousness. in Hinduism the soul is moved up or down the Caste, eventually reaching hell or becoming one with Brahma.
Also near death experiences cn be explained by the reaction of chemicals in the brain while dying thus giving people these images.
There isn't enough evidence for life after death, but people can believe in whatever gives them solace.

I dont agree with this statement, I believe in the idea of Immortality of the Soul.
There has been evidence about the spiritual world and ways in which you can communicate to the "Other Side" and I believe that.
I also feel strongly about this idea because people in my family along with myself have had spiritual encounters which makes me believe that its true.

I absolutely disagree with this statement because I believe that life cannot only end with no conclusion. We work a lot during our lives and we deal with a lot of emotions e.g. stress. If there was no end point then nobody would work hard to live life to the maximum. Also, in my religion we believe about heaven and hell and that God will judge us on the day of Judgement. However, many people may believe in this statement because we have no scientific evidence of life after death and science is a major part of our lives as it questions religious beliefs. To believe some things people want proof and that is what science provides. In conclusion, I disagree with this statement because my religion tells me there is life after death and that and people who have had personal experiences of near death etc cannot all be lying.

When you die, your body will decompose as every body does so when dead. I believe your body will wait in it's grave, as i am a Muslim and have also been brought up to believe the body of all human beings will be resurrected. The body will breathe no more but the soul shall still be immortal.
