Y10 Geography Winners!

Mrs Ahern's Y10 GCSE Geography class have been looking at different land forms. I listened to students describing different land forms with play-doh models. I was impressed with all the groups. Coastal Management Schemes

Y10 Geographers have been looking at the processes which attack coasts; erosion, weathering and mass movement. Various schemes exist to protect the coast e.g. rip-rap, recurved seawall, groynes, gabions, offshore reef, beach replenishment, cliff regrading and managed retreat.

Explain which sea defence schemes you think would be a) the most b) the least effective at protecting the coastline from erosion.
